I would like to start off a discussion on what are the lessons or expereinces of the group in identifying the potential use of wireless broadband provided remotely in delivering services to enhance economic and creative opportunities to under served communities. HOW are some of the wireless community base network measuring its impact towards social enterprise and HOW are they trying to harness the enthusiasm and creativity of the community? WHAT are some of the ‘major, life-changing’ experiences that we can share among ourselves that can be found in existing/established wifi communities? HOW can we deeply develop engaging community broadband services and its impact on education, on jobs and inward investment – and as importantly, measured. Is there a strong need to establish a social enterprise to sustain itself in the long term by independent fund raising and sharing of costs amongst its members or...Is government involvement a main 'ingredient' to sustain such initiative?
